SUMMARY:AOS VIC Online Stream: Predictable Results in Unpredictable Times Dr. Irfan QURESHI (MSc Prosthodontics\, Pakistan)
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT. \nWelcome to the AOS VB Dinner-Meeting \nWe are happy to present:  Dr. Irfan Qureshi from Pakistan DDS \n\n\n\nLecture: Predictable Results in Unpredictable Times. \nPredictable and Safe Sinus Augmentation \nSinus augmentation remains one of the most technique-sensitive yet indispensable procedures for predictable implant rehabilitation in the posterior maxilla. This presentation traces the evolution of sinus grafting approaches\, with a focus on both crestal and lateral techniques supported by long-term follow-up data. Evidence-based protocols will be shared\, highlighting the use of advanced biomaterials such as autologous tooth bone\, CGF\, and the ASAP technique. Specialized surgical kits designed to enhance safety\, precision\, and predictability will be demonstrated\, alongside detailed step-by-step documentation of complex cases with up to ten years of follow-up. Participants will gain practical insights into optimizing treatment planning\, minimizing complications\, and achieving consistent\, reproducible outcomes. \nRestoratively Driven Implant Dentistry: Surgical–Prosthetic Interface \nImplant dentistry is best approached as the seamless integration of surgery and prosthetics—two sides of the same coin. This session will highlight how meticulous prosthetic planning drives surgical execution\, ensuring optimal esthetic\, functional\, and biological outcomes. By treating the surgical and restorative phases as inseparable\, clinicians can improve precision\, reduce complications\, and deliver restorations that achieve long-term harmony between biological tissue health and mechanical stability. Real-world clinical cases will illustrate how restoratively driven protocols elevate predictability and patient satisfaction\, reinforcing the principle that true implant success lies in the synergy of surgical and prosthetic disciplines. \n\n\n \nDr Irfan Qureshi did his Master`s in Prosthodontics from King`s College London. He is a Diplomate Implant Dentistry from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons\, Edinburgh (Dip Imp Dent RCSEd) and remains the first and only Pakistan based clinician with this degree. Dr Irfan Qureshi has also earned Membership of the faculty of Dental Surgery at Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow MFDS RCPS(Glasg). He is also an Examiner in good standing for Implant Dentistry exams at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh\, UK.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDr Irfan is also an ambassador and Diplomate ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists). He has a fellowship from WAUPS (World Academy of Ultrasonic and Piezoelectric Bone Surgery)\, Fellowship from IDIA (International Dental Implant Academy). \nHe is an examiner for implantology exams with the Royal College of Surgeons\, Edinburgh in Scotland\, UK. Dr Irfan Qureshi was awarded with the recognition of being among the World`s Top 100 Doctors in Dentistry by the Global Summit Institute in Los Angeles USA and in 2020 and in 2023 was awarded a Life Time Achievement award by the Global Summit Institute . \nHe is considered a pioneer and dynamic speaker and clinician in his home country of Pakistan where he lectures nationwide. \nDr  Irfan has lectured world wide in USA\, Germany\, Romania\, Thailand\, Japan\, Iraq\, Vietnam and UAE and is known for his approach to excellence in clinical implantology. \nAnd now we are happy to welcome Dr Qureshi in Australia to lecture for the AOS MEMBERS in Melbourne (and all the other branches online) and for the ICOI World Congress 2025 in Sydney.

SUMMARY:AOS VIC Online event: Modern Implantology in the Digital Age: Implant Workflows That Work
DESCRIPTION:Modern Implantology in the Digital Age: Implant Workflows That Work\n  \nTO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT\, PLEASE FOLLOW THE LINK  \n  \n \nPart 1: Navigating the Future – Digital Planning\, Surgical Guides\, and Full-Arch Accuracy \n\nThe digital evolution of implant planning\nGuided surgery: types\, benefits\, and how AI is streamlining the process\nDriving significant efficiencies in single-tooth implant cases through digital protocols\n3D printing: materials\, options\, and how to pick the right printer\n\nPart 2: Full-Arch Excellence – Photogrammetry\, Horizontal Scan Bodies and 3D Printing \n\nFull-arch implantology: accuracy\, limitations\, and scanning workflow\nWhy we still cannot go from scan to prosthesis\, and what is the solution\nPhotogrammetry: accuracy\, workflow\, and clinical benefits\nHorizontal scan bodies and the dawn of new tech – does it work?\n\n \n  \nDr Ahmad Al–Hassiny is the Founder and Director of the Institute of Digital Dentistry (iDD)\, a leading and future-focused online training academy with a mission to ensure dentists globally have easy and affordable access to the best digital dentistry training possible. He is also a global leader in digital dentistry and intraoral scanners\, carrying out lectures internationally. \nHaving graduated from the University of Otago with First Class Honours and been awarded many clinical and research prizes\, Dr Ahmad has continued his pursuit of excellence in dentistry. Through his own work\, he has seen first-hand how CAD/CAM and digital dentistry can positively change daily dental practice. He has carried out many aspects of complex digital dentistry\, including CAD/CAM full-mouth rehabilitation and smile design. \nDr Ahmad is a global leader in digital dentistry and intraoral scanners\, carrying out lectures for many companies within the industry. He is one of the few in the world who personally owns and uses all mainstream scanners and CAD/CAM systems in his clinic. Through iDD he is happy to see dentists worldwide develop the confidence and perspective of adopting modern techniques and reap the many benefits that CAD/CAM and digital dentistry can have on their career/practice. \n  \nTHE EVENT IS PROUDLY SPONSORED BY:

SUMMARY:Geistlich Pharma hands-on workshops (Sydney and Perth)
DESCRIPTION:Geistlich Pharma hands-on workshops:\nContemporary Management of Challenging Dentoalveolar Defects\nPresented by Dr Markus Troeltzsch – Germany\nSydney: Monday 4 August\, 2025\nPerth: Wednesday 6 August\, 2025 \nThe basic premise for long-term successful implant-supported rehabilitations is the presence of healthy and abundant peri-implant hard and soft tissues. The availability of sufficient hard and/or soft tissues is often limited\, and in some instances\, the nature of the dentoalveolar defect can be significant. \nThis full-day workshop will present a variety of surgical options available for reconstructing hard and soft tissues in challenging cases. The role of customised bone regeneration (e.g.\, Yxoss CBR®) will be discussed\, as will the importance of selecting correct biomaterials to help maximise long-term regenerative potential. \nHands-on exercises will be performed on pig jaws to help put into practice many of the presented concepts\, including flap designs\, soft tissue release\, primary tension-free wound closures\, and suturing techniques. Surgical management of the medically compromised patient will also be presented. \nLearning Objectives: \n• Assessing and classifying dentoalveolar defects\n• Selecting appropriate surgical techniques with predictable long-term outcomes\n• Understanding the role and process of customised bone regeneration in managing osseous defects\n• Understanding the properties and application of different osseous graft materials\n• How to improve the quantity and quality of soft tissues around implants\n• Modifying pre-\, intra-\, and post-surgical management of the medically compromised patient \n  \n***AOS Special Deal** \n25% off for AOS members!\nPlease contact education@geistlich.com.au for details \n
